IAIM (International Association of Infant Massage) Teacher Training certifies you to teach parents how to massage their babies using the internationally recognized IAIM program. This program focuses on nurturing touch, bonding, and supporting babies’ emotional and physical wellbeing through guided parent education.

This training is suitable for early years educators, nurses, midwives, doulas, yoga teachers, therapists, psychologists, counselors, and anyone working closely with parents and babies. A background in working with families or wellness is helpful, but prior infant massage experience is not required.

Upon successful completion, you become a Certified IAIM Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI). This certification is internationally recognized in more than 70 countries and allows you to teach IAIM parent/baby massage courses worldwide.

The course includes the full IAIM infant massage routine, understanding infant cues and communication, bonding and attachment theory, parent education skills, colic relief techniques, and guidance on how to structure and run professional parent/baby massage courses.

The training is delivered as an intensive four/five day program followed by a practicum period. During this time, participants conduct a parent course, complete written assignments, and submit course reports for assessment.

After certification, you can independently run IAIM classes at home, in nurseries, clinics, yoga studios, hospitals, or family support centers. This qualification enables you to offer a highly valued service that supports early bonding and parental confidence.

Participants receive the official IAIM instructor manual, parent handouts, and guidance on setting up and delivering classes according to IAIM standards. Instructors are also required to maintain IAIM membership and follow its professional guidelines to remain active.
